What Is SAM-e?

While SAM-e might be familiar to some, as the name of a non-prescription anti-depressant, first and foremost, it is a totally natural substance found in our bodies. Buying blister packed SAM-e for this reason is essential. Additionally, it is important that the tablets be enteric coated, to ensure that it absorbs properly in the digestive tract. The enteric coating ensures that the SAM-e is not broken down in the stomach, where it can't be used by the body, but remains intact until it is ready to be absorbed in the small intestines. SAM-e has been researched extensively, and there are no known safety concerns with this product.
